”100〜200個の比較的珍しい苗字をサンプルとして抽出し、その数を米国の国勢調査のデータから割り出された人口の割り合いから類推、そして米国人と米国人以外の利用者の調べ、世界全体の利用者数を推計するという手法で、Google+の登録ユーザ数が今日にも1,000万人を超えると発表した。彼の説明によれば、32〜34時間で220万人増えており、招待が継続されている限りは、今週末にも2,000万人に到達するのではないかとの事だ。
